Not A King But A Steward

Not A King But A Steward

It was God

It was God who made you

The people loved you

But it was God who commissioned you

“Robert, Robert, please lead my People

In spite of all you have done,

Lead my people and don’t torment them”

These were the words of the Creator

I guess you were too overwhelmed

Too overwhelmed to hear God`s voice

Overwhelmed by the cheers that surrounded you,

The cries born of independence

They must have been the loudest of their kind

Listen to me oh steward

For I have a word from God

“I did not make you king

But I made you a steward

Robert, Robert, why do you torment my people?

Comfort my people, comfort my people

Give them their wages

Give them their life

Give them their independence

A cloud surrounds you

False friends and countless meaningless praises

But remember that when all this is done

It will be Me, you

And the cries of my people testifying against you”

Repent Oh Stewart,

Least you taste the wrath of the Lord
