Love For The Western President - Poem from the book “Cries From A Troubled African Nation”

Love For The Western President

What would you do?

If it were you

How would you feel?

If it were you in my shoes

Where would the wind blow?

Tell me

What path would you set for it?

We were all once babies

And as such

We did not choose this life

Africa, Europe, America

No one had the choice

Asia, Australia

No one ever knew

We were all born without a thought

A hint of who held us in our arms

My life is just as precious as yours

Your president is kind

He gave us his love

He gave us his hand

What have you done?

What have you gave?

Apart from your scorn
