Love Does Not Kill

Love Does Not Kill

I am happy for you my son

After all these years

After this pain and suffering

You have found a job

And it buys you clothes,

This black suit that you have

Wear it on your shoulders

And never wear it on your heart

Serve your people

But above all, love them

Love does sting

But love does not kill

You cannot change what you have done

But you can wash your hands

Wash your hands my son

Wash your hands and walk away

Your hands are gifted

And they should not be tainted with blood

Come now my son

Come and be by your people`s side

When you grow old

When all this is done

You will have nothing but great memories

My son, oh my son, my only son

Build a bright future for your offspring

You might have plenty now

But soon it will fade away

And you will be stuck with a haunted life
